What is the Difference Between a Mobile Field Shelter and Mobile Stable?

There are a couple of notable differences between mobile field shelters and mobile stables. Let’s start with mobile field shelters. The mobile field shelter is designed to provide a warm and dry space for your horse/animals to rest in, while spending as much time as they wish out in the open.

The advantage of having a mobile field shelter is that it can be moved from place to place according to the weather conditions, paddock management, and re-seeding.

In contrast, a mobile stable is a well-ventilated building that includes a complete stable front, stable doors, windows, and fittings for stabling your horses in. However, a horse cannot wander in and out of a stable as her chooses.

If a horse is stabled, he cannot get out until you let him out. This is very beneficial if you are trying to control your horse’s diet, help him recover from an injury, or slowly integrate him in with a herd. The advantage of having a mobile stable is, again, moving it from place to place according to the weather conditions, drainage, and grass recovery time.
