Every year, the Horse & Hound Awards are hosted, celebrating the stars of equestrianism in partnership with Non-Appropriated Funds Employment (NAF). Prime Stables Ltd will be presenting the awards on 4th December – just in time for Christmas! We are extremely proud to be involved in honouring the equestrian heroes of 2019 at Cheltenham Racecourse.
The Winners Have Been Nominated by You
The Horse & Hound Award winners have been nominated and voted for by you. The only winner who has not been voted for is the lifetime achievement winner, who has been chosen by the Horse & Hound panel. You can view all shortlisted contenders on the Horse & Hound blog. Shortlisted winners have been nominated in some of the following categories:
- Groom of the Year Award
- Horseware Horse of the Year Award
- Young Rider of the Year Award
- Horserail Moment of the Year Award
- Volunteer of the Year Award
And that is just to name a few. The event promises to be as exciting as ever and will celebrate people across the equestrian landscape for their achievements.

All of the winners will be presented with awards during the Horse & Hounds awards ceremony and dinner. We at Prime Stables are honoured to be included in presenting one of the awards. Every person who has been shortlisted to win will be invited to the event as a guest. It will be a pleasure for us to attend this incredible event and support those who have done so much for the equestrian landscape.

Presenting the Volunteer of the Year Award
We are excited to be presenting the 2019 Volunteer of the Year award. This is an award very close to our hearts as it recognises the sacrifice made by countless volunteers throughout the year to help others enjoy their sport, hobby, or profession every day. Without the dedication of volunteers, there is a lot in the equestrian sphere that simply would not happen.

As we said to the Horse & Hound, “what could be a more worthy cause than
sponsoring an award that acknowledges other people’s selfless acts?” Through
this award, we are thrilled to make known the selfless acts of people who have
quietly worked away outside of the public eye, selflessly serving others.
Public voting has now closed, but we will announce the winner at the gala
dinner and awards ceremony at Cheltenham Racecourse on Wednesday 4th December
2019.
