Do I need a dedicated washdown area on my yard?: A washdown area keeps horses cleaner, improves hygiene, and prevents excess water from damaging stable walkways. It’s a valuable addition for any busy yard.
Can you build washdown bays in different sizes?: Yes. Every one of our clients requirements and yards are unique, so we offer bespoke sizing, layout adjustments, and tailored features to suit your available space.
What kind of drainage do you recommend?: We recommend drainage and a slope to divert water away from the building. Type of drainage depends on the layout and size of your concrete base and buildings. Whilst we can offer rationale, we recommend speaking to your ground worker to ensure sufficient drainage is built for your wash down facility. Please ensure drains are cleaned regularly to clear debris and build up.
Are washdown facilities suitable for year-round use?: With proper drainage and durable construction, a well-built washdown area can be used in all seasons. We can suggest features to improve winter usability too.
