Concrete and brickwork should be completed at least two weeks before your scheduled installation. This allows the base to reach adequate strength.
We unfortunately do not install concrete bases ourselves, so the base must be arranged by you. We provide details guidance on the required specifications, and we recommend consulting an experience groundwork contractor to ensure your base is properly prepared.
Typically we recommend, 150mm compacted hardcore sub-base and 100mm concrete slab. Depending on ground conditions, extra reinforcement may be required, such a thick concrete (up to 150mm) or steel mesh. Your groundwork contractor can advise on the best specification for your site.
